Chaos Theory

One idea of chaos theory is that a new equilibrium state will be reached when extremely small initial changes are amplified and a certain threshold is broken. Ecosystem is an open multistable system, which emphasizes the integrity and complexity of structure, function and process. At the same time, the ecosystem has a certain carrying capacity, which can maintain and regulate the system balance, and its balance mechanism is mainly realized through feedback. Ecological balance includes structure and function balance, energy input/output balance. The ecosystem always tends to develop in a balanced state. When it is disturbed by the environment, it maintains its own stability through the interaction of positive and negative feedback, but this disturbance has a definite limit (or threshold), once it exceeds the threshold, it may cause the collapse of the ecosystem.
